Holiday Pattern Bundle

My contribution to the bundle is Festive Bows, a modern traditional design based on the classic Bowknot quilt block. The pattern contains instructions for both two-tone and multi-color versions in lap and queen sizes (the multi-color lap version is fat quarter friendly).


Festive Bows is only available in this bundle right now and will be released officially in the early fall.

I made the lap, two-tone version using FreeSpirit Solids in Red, Winter White.  I quilted the quilt using matching Aurifil thread with a stipple pattern (the stipple in the white was tighter and more dense than the red).  

I used a fun FreeSpirit Solids in Pink for the backing.  You can see the quilting a little easier on the back.  A red/white striped fabric cut so the lines would be on the bias finished off the quilt as the binding.
