Camden Road QAL ++ Week 2

I am starting to see some great fabric combinations and Camden Road blocks on social media, I love quilting along with everyone!

This week, I want to show how great the no-waste flying geese method is for directional prints.  By just following the method, the directional print will be preserved and the flying geese can be assembled into the quilt top with the directional prints all facing the same direction.

Here is a directional text print to illustrate:

Find out all about the quilt along here and see everyone's progress on #CamdenRoadQAL.

  1. Oh I love that alphabet fabric! 'Got to get busy sewing some more blocks.

  2. I love it when I can keep directions prints oriented in a pattern. Lovely!

  3. You know, I’ve never taken the time to try the no waste flying geese technique. Today will be the day.

  4. Just curious - - while the "Geese" are all oriented in the same direction two sections of the "Sky" fabric is oriented East to West while six are oriented North to South. Is it possible to have both the Geese and the Sky pieces all oriented the same?

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a comment!
