Midnight Mystery Quilt - My Square in a Square Blocks

September's assignment for the Midnight Mystery quilt-a-long was to make Square in a Square blocks.

(It is not too late to join! See the Mystery Quilt Tab above for all of the information.)

Here is one Square in a Square Block...

And here are all of them together...

Just remember that it is not too late to join in! (We also have the option of an un-mystery quilt for those that would like a sneak peek of the finished design).

The next set of instructions will be posted on the first Thursday of September (the 3rd), thanks so much for quilting along with me :)

  1. I cannot wait to see this finished! I love the blue and golden yellow combination!!

  2. I have completed my square in a square blocks, they were fun to make. I will share them soon. I like the contrast of the colors of your fabric, mine don't pop like yours do.

  3. Looks great! Fun colour combo, Cheryl.

  4. Your fabric selection is so beautiful together in this block! Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful creative day!

  5. It is great seeing 3 of the fabric choices together in this block and all of the variety from everyone participating!

  6. They look fab laid out like that. I am going scrappy and unsure if I like the effect / colour choices at the moment. But I am going to push on and hopefully it will all come together in the end. I've cut my fabric so no choice really 😉

  7. They look wonderful. I finally have all my material cut, but no sewing as yet. This week was all about my son's wedding and we leave today to head back to Nevada so no sewing until we get there.

  8. Fun colors in your blocks. I'm really enjoying this mystery quilt.

  9. Your blocks are so neat and precise Cheryl - and I love the fabrics you chose!
I find myself really looking forward to each step and the fun of seeing how the fabrics work together.

  10. Planning on doing this step today now that my beloved family (daughter and grandson) have gone back home, sniff. Love your colours.

  11. Okay - I'm in. Look how long it took me - I posted about this in June, finally bought my fabric yesterday! So I have a little catching up to do. hehehe I hope to post pictures on my blog tomorrow (maybe the next day). Thanks for doing the mystery quilt.
