Poinsettia Pinwheels for Fat Quarterly Xmas Issue Vol. 10

I have the honor of having contributed to the 19th Issue of Fat Quarterly - Christmas. My design uses solid fabrics and lots of half square triangles to create a fun, modern, and very geometric Xmas quilt.  



I quilted each color area of the quilt using matching colored thread and different designs. You can't really see the quilting in the picture above so here is a closeup of the back of the quilt. There were a lot of threads to bury :)

  1. I LOVE green but I am not the biggest fan of Christmas quilts; however THIS is just beautiful and I would want it in my house year-round! Loving the fresh colors and the fresh feel to it, it makes me feel... JOLLY! :o)

  5. This is so festive! I can see the kids wrapped in it on Christmas morning getting ready to open gifts. I love the way you quilted all the sections differently....so cool!

  9. Colors are very pleasing....not strong as some of the Christmas quilts tend to be. Love the quilting with the change of thread colors.
