As the weather (here in South Carolina) gets a littler cooler and the leaves start to turn and fall, I thought it might be fun to do a mash up of fall and Halloween quilts. Not just ones that were specifically designed for the season, but other patterns done up in seasonal colors as well.
The names and links to the patterns are below the images.
The first quilt was made originally as a Halloween quilt with the Sweeter and Spookier line from AGF...

I really like your mockup for Morewood Mystery here. I have made a few fall / Halloween inspired quilt projects over the years, but maybe it's time to think about another! :)
ReplyDeleteLovely to see you playing with colours on your patterns and although we don't really do Halloween, in recent years it's been celebrated a lot more here in Oz with the shops sporting all sorts of weird and wild objects. Thanks for sharing this, as it's very inspiring and I've no mojo at the moment and need little pushes to help me along after my fall and hurting my hand & ribs. Thanks, take care & hugs.
ReplyDeleteI haven't made a fall quilt, but I have made a Halloween quilt. My sister has it and uses it for Halloween decorations. My favorite is the fall version of Morewood Mystery, though the witches socks version of Candy Stripes is a close second.
ReplyDeleteI haven't made a Fall quilt, but I do like you Checkers quilt.
ReplyDeleteI have to make a Halloween quilt at some point, a few of these remind me of candy in wrappers at this time of year, those colors are beautiful, I can’t decide which ones I like the best… Morewood, thst I haven’t tried yet, magnolia I did do.
ReplyDeleteI have not made a fall quilt but its been on my mind. I really like the Raindrops. Thank You Barb
ReplyDeleteLove Morewood Mystery in this colorway!
ReplyDeleteAs Susan Smith commented here in Oz we are not big on Halloween, although the retailers are trying hard to encourage us to spend more money. I too enjoy seeing designers re-colour their designs. Like the Morewood & the Magnolia designs. Trying to picture Morewood in a black background with lime green, purple and orange elements.
ReplyDeleteRaindrops with those deep colors just says fall to me!
