I love the Princess Bride and right as we got the instructions for the challenge I came across a quilt and stitch along hosted by  The blog banner became my inspiration for the challenge quilt.

I used about 30 different low volume text prints pieced as the background with randomly spaced straight line quilting.  Then I appliqued the people, hills, and words onto the quilt.

There were some amazing mini quilts shown at the reveal (including my super quilty friend Brenda who won second place) and though I did not win the challenge, I had a very fun time playing with the fabrics and making something just for fun.
