I backed the quilt with a simple ivory fabric, quilted it using a meandering stitch (I love how it gives quilts that crinkly vintage look) and bound it with my favorite print from the line, a bias plaid in red and white. The quilt is 75" x 75" which makes it a little difficult to get a good picture of it, though my in-laws were in town this weekend so I had some extra hands to hold the quilt up.
The quilt was first blogged about here.

ReplyDeleteGranny is looking great for Christmastime! :)
ReplyDeleteHo, Ho, Ho! Did you know? Only 38 sewing days left to go! Looks like your friends table will now be ready for the holidays! What a wonderful finish, Cheryl. Gotta appreciate a couple of great quilt holder helpers, too!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love the way the blocks change with the fabrics.
ReplyDeleteGreat finish, Cheryl! Just perfect for the holidays. Your friend's table is going to look so festive with Granny adorning it.
ReplyDeleteOh I love how those blocks have such character, even though they're all the same block!
ReplyDeleteHi Cheryl! I love the Christmas Granny Squares! What a great idea :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the large amount of negative space - very effective!
ReplyDeleteI hope your friends are not red wine drinkers, as it would be awful to spoil such a beautiful quilt/tablecloth with stains!
