ABOUT THE DESIGN

Tea Leaves is based on the traditional Bear Claw block and is at a confident beginner level.  I thought that the blocks looked a little like falling leaves combined with the autumn colors gave the quilt a very fall feel to it. 

This pattern is perfect for your fat quarters or scraps paired with some yardage for the background.  Cutting instructions for both fat quarters and scraps is included.

The original pattern with only the throw size was published in the 2023 Quilter's Planner.  The pattern has been updated and expanded into four sizes: baby, throw, twin, and queen.

ABOUT THE FABRIC & QUILTING

Andover generously supplied the fabric for the cover version.  The prints were from Fabric from the Attic collection by Giucy Giuce which were paired with Century Solids, all by Andover Fabrics.  I love this collection and have actually used this collection in two other quilts: the Melodic Mystery Quilt and Gift Box from the Just Two Charm Pack Quilts book.

I quilted the Tea Leaves using a large paisley design all over the quilt.  The pattern gives movement to the quilt design and looks like wind.
