About the Fabrics and Quilting

The throw sized cover quilt was made using the Strawberry Collection by Kimberly Kight for Ruby Star Society with Moda Bella solids in Shocking Pink and Bubble Gum.

The Strawberry collection was just released and can easily be found in local quilt shops and on Etsy still.

I quilted the quilt using a light pink Aurifil in a paisley design and bound the quilt using a dark purple solid.

About the Pattern

Hartwell is a confident beginner pattern, perfect for those new to quilting or want a quicker finish.  Using half-square triangle construction and stitch and flip techniques, the shoo fly like blocks are sewn for a fun and scrappy look.

Hartwell contains throw and twin sizes with instructions to use fat quarters, 1/4 yard cuts, or 1/2 yard cuts for the prints.

Hartwell comes in both digital and print formats.

Additional Colorways

I have the honor of having Hartwell being highlighted in the Fireglow fabric collection by Sarah Watts in the latest Ruby Star Society catalog (page 195).

I have such fun seeing the quilt designs in different colors and prints. I think that this is one of those quilt designs that looks in so many different colorways, I have also included some other ideas with darker or lighter background (including a Christmas version).
