About the Fabrics and Quilting

I quilted the quilt using a medium gray thread in a stipple design and bound the quilt using a pink speckled fabric.  The cover quilt features prints from the Speckled 2023 collection and Speckled in Teal Navy by Ruby Star Society.

Did I mention Scenic Waypoint was fat quarter friendly? Each fat quarter makes two blocks so the throw size quilt needs just 10 FQs—perfect for mixing prints, playing with color, and using what you already have on hand.

Additional Colorways

I have the honor of having Scenic Waypoint being highlighted in the Trinketry fabric collection by Melody Miller in the latest Ruby Star Society catalog (page 153).

I have such fun seeing the quilt designs in different colors and prints. I think that this is one of those quilt designs that looks in so many different colorways, I have also included some other ideas like Tula Pink and a Christmas version.

Many thanks to Yvonne of Quilting Jetgirl as well as my pattern testers for their help on this pattern.

  1. What a fantastic design and I love how few fat quarters are needed to make a throw size quilt. Wow!

  2. A great way to combine both blocks. The black with the brights is my favorite version.
