Ocean Bricks has a value gradient down the length of the quilt to mimic the sea getting darker as you go deeper into the ocean. For my version of Ocean Bricks, I used Kona Cotton Solids from the Grecian Waters colorway by Robert Kaufman. The quilt is baby sized, finishing up at 38½” x 42½”.

ReplyDeleteHi Cheryl! This is gorgeus quilt! I love how you have made the waves with the curves! I won Kona bundle and it may be Grecian waters, but I don't know the colour until I receive them. If they are these colours, I think I have to make this quilt. I have thought to challenge myself with curves this year and I live in Greece, next to the turquoise waves. x Teje

ReplyDeleteWow...such a great quilt. That's a lot of curved piecing. The rectangular blocks seem like they would be easier to make and more interesting than running a curve the width of the quilt. The gradient colors are perfect.
