Board & Batten Quilt Along - Half-Square Triangles

I have been enjoying seeing everyone's fabrics for the Board & Batten quilt along!  You can see all of the fabric combinations and colorways on social media using #boardandbattenqal and in the MMD Facebook Group.

You also always find all of the information and links to the QAL at the main Board and Batten Page.

Board and Batten Weekly Instructions

For the next two weeks, we are making our half-square triangles.  Here are my HST units all trimmed up and ready to go.

My favorite way to do half-square triangles is to oversize them if possible (was not possible for me in this pattern because I was using charm squares) then trim using my HST Bloc-Loc Ruler (you can find the 6 1/2" version here on Amazon affiliate link).

I can't wait to see yours!

Questions?  You can leave them as a comment or email me at MMDmysteryquilts@gmail.com.

If you would like to join the quilt along but still need a copy of of the pattern, you can find Board and Batten:

  2. I'm still cutting, but it's been so hot here, 30+celsius & I don't cope well with such heat. I'm also scared mine may look too different, but I will get it done. Thanks, take care & hugs from down under.
