I thought it might be fine to do a mash up of holiday quilts, not just ones that were specifically designed for the season, but other patterns done up in holiday colors as well. Here are twelve quilts for Christmas :)
The first two quilts were made originally as Christmas quilts...
Here are ten other designs decked out for the holidays...
Which is your favorite? Have you ever made a holiday quilt?
I really love the icy colorway of Ruby Roads. Fun to see them so festive together!
ReplyDeleteI love them all, but for some unknown reason am drawn to the colouring in your Irish Puzzle. I made a festive QAL last year and have just donated it for a Christmas raffle, to the foundation who helps with my younger brother who is intellectually disabled. Thanks for sharing, take care & hugs from down under.
ReplyDeleteThat Broken Frames looks like a fun and fast make! I love the fact that it uses charm packs, I may have a number of them laying around just waiting for a pattern!
ReplyDeleteFun post, Cheryl!!! My fav is the first one, Winter Wreath. I just finished making a queen size Christmas quilt (see blog)--love having a new one for this Christmas season!!!
ReplyDeleteI really love Ruby Roads. This isn’t my usual bright is better quilt. It reminds me of frosty windows in winter.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I really like these light blues too.

ReplyDeleteYes i made a king size using a xmas tree pattern found in a quilt shop. Used xmas prints, some applique with gold metallic thread, added 6 borders, some pieced, had it mChine quilted by local shop. Her quilting is "out of this world". Made 1 more full size all 5" squares with 3 white swams/ wreaths appliqued. This is tied & decorative stitching on borders. Have another one in this pattern, king size & more swans, started. Than i will have only a small amount of xmas fabrics left. Hurrah! Lots (hugh) amount of fabric in my sewing studio.
ReplyDeleteSounds awesome!!
DeleteI am 72 years old and have just starting piecing quilts. I though I had better start small, so I am on my third wall hanging in the log cabin blocks. I love them, so that is my favorite. I will never live long enough to make all I want to, but will enjoy the journey. Best wishes from Elizabethton, TN...We are practically neighbors...Merry Christmas...
ReplyDeleteSounds awesome! I agree with starting small.
DeleteRuby Roads or Broken Frames :) And yes, one Christmas wall quilt and one to cuddle under. Have a merry Christmas season! xo
ReplyDeleteI really like how you used different shades of greens instead of the classic green. All of these look fabulous!
