Camden Road QAL ++ Official Kick-Off

Are you joining in?  Cindy and I are officially kicking off the Camden Road Quilt Along today!

The Camden Road Quilt Along will run from January 28th - March 24th, 2020.  The Camden Road pattern contains instructions for baby, lap, and twin sizes and you can make any size you would like during the QAL.

Post on social media with #CamdenRoadQAL to share your progress with the other quilters.

My Fabrics

My plan is to make a lap sized quilt using some saved Maureen Cracknell for Art Gallery Fabrics fat quarters I have in my stash.  I am pairing them with a white and light blue solid for the backgrounds.

You can find your estimated number of blocks to make per week on the QAL page, but do not feel you need to follow that schedule.  I usually like to make all of the components for the blocks assembly style so I will be probably be taking the first week or two and make all of the flying geese for the entire quilt.

Pattern

The Camden Road pattern is available in the Meadow Mist Designs pattern shop and will be on sale for 25% through midnight EST tonight (January 28th) using the code CAMDENROAD.  The code will only work on the Camden Road pattern and only in my shop (not on Etsy).

  2. As you know, I have already started :) And I am delighted to see that it is ok to work "assembly style" and that you actually also do it that way. I am as well currently working on flying geese. And then plan to chain piece the squares and background pieces and afterwards trim geese and build blocks. Looking forward to seeing more projects pop up on IG! So cool that your fabrics are so different from your original version. Looking forward to seeing this develope! xo Melanie

  3. 'Love your fabric selections. I have actually completed two blocks for the baby-sized. Getting back to sewing is good for me, in the midst of what all has happened around here.
