Candy Stripes ++ 2020 Quilter's Planner

I'm very excited to be part of the Quilter's Planner once again!  In the 2020 Quilter's Planner*, I contributed a new fat quarter friendly pattern called Candy Stripes.

I started the design with a fat quarter bundle of Paintbrush Studio Painter’s Palette Solids, picked by Jackie Gering and loved the bright saturated colors.  I wanted to set them against a crisp white background.

I played around with a number of designs on EQ8 and fell in love with this design, it reminds me of candy in their twist wrappers.  The design works perfectly for your favorite fat quarters and I am planning a Christmas version to make next.

Candy Stripes was quilted by Johellen George, a local longarm quilter who used the most perfect and whimsical double loop quilting design.

This Candy Stripes pattern is one of 13 patterns (including a sampler quilt designed by Karen Lewis) included as a pattern magazine with your 2020 Quilter’s Planner.  I checked and you can still get last year's pattern magazine with the sampler quilt I designed on sale for only $6.30!

The Quilter's Planner gets better each year and this year Stephanie has introduced a number of customizations so that the planner works best for you.

1.  You have a choice of 6 different covers, including 4 designed by Karen Lewis.  Which is your favorite?  I went with the teal with plus sign design (no surprise there :)

2.  You can choose your start day (Monday or Sunday) and there are 4 different layouts for the weekly section of the planner.

Kitty of Night Quilter once again produced all of the photography for the planner, this year in Costa Rica, including all of the photographs in this post.

Remember, you can pre-order your planner right here (affiliate link), the planners are shipping in October this year so you can get a jump start on your planning for next year! If you pre-order, you get 10% off!

Links in the post are affiliate links, if you click through and take action, I will earn a portion of the sales.

  4. What a great quilt. The shape reminds me of the buoys we saw with the lobster boats in Maine. So pretty!!
