First, I have finished the Shoo Fly Pie quilt pattern and have it listed in my Meadow Mist Designs pattern shop and Etsy.
The pattern is fat quarter and 1/4 yard cut friendly and contains instructions for five sizes (baby, lap, twin, queen, and king).
Secondly, since I used a fat quarter bundle of Maritime Modern for the Shoo Fly Pie quilt and I had a bunch left over so I cut up some of each fabric in to charm squares (5" square). I made this simple patchwork quilt with some of the squares which will go to my brother and sister in-law if they have a baby boy (they did not find out what they are having so I have a girl quilt made up too).
I also played around with some additional colorways for the pattern... Remember you get a copy of the pattern in my Meadow Mist Designs pattern shop and Etsy.

ReplyDeleteHappy first day of Spring!
Wow, great job! Love that you put the scraps to good use so quickly. Congrats on the pattern release!
ReplyDeleteBoth quilts are super cute. I like how the color scheme of the shoo fly quilt looks like a ship's life rings.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on both of these lovely finishes, Cheryl. And on the publishing of your pattern. It looks great! I love how you quilted it, too! those waves are awesome!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilts, Cheryl!! I would send the charm squares quilt to your brother and sister-in-law regardless the sex of their baby. I think a girl would love it too, at least I would :)
