✂ 2026 Stash Busting Quilt Along - Week 6 ✂

 


๐ŸŽ‰So many beautiful blocks and quilts so far! ๐ŸŽ‰

This week, February 26 - March 4, here are the specific instructions for each pattern:

  • Scenic Waypoint - Blocks & Sashing Rows
  • Board and Batten, Looking Glass, & Sea Star - Quilt Top Assembly


 When you finish your quilt and/or quilt top, send me a picture to cheryl@meadowmistdesigns.com to have it added to the QAL parade :)


GENERAL INFORMATION

๐Ÿ—“ Kickoff Date: Thursday, January 22nd (plenty of time to grab a pattern & pick fabrics).

⏳ Duration: 7 weeks, wrapping up on March 12th.

๐ŸŽ‰ Final Parade: Share your quilt top or finished quilt at the end.

๐Ÿšซ No Prizes—Just Fun: This is all about using what we have & enjoying the process.

๐Ÿ“ Scrap Busting Posts: I'll be posting tips on fabric organization, scrap-busting ideas, and sewing techniques throughout the sew along.

๐Ÿ”น The Challenge: Try to create your entire quilt—top, binding, and backing—using only fabric from your stash! No new fabric purchases needed.

 

PATTERNS

To join the quilt along, you’ll need a copy of Board and BattenScenic Waypoint, Sea Star and/or Looking Glasswhichever pattern(s) best suits your stash!  Snag your patterns now and get ready to sew from your stash! ๐Ÿงต✨

  1. It Only took me six weeks to figure out where things were being posted. Duh! I have the toddler Looking Glass layered to quilt and a baby version of Scenic Waypoint layered to quilt. . Running slower on completing the throw size of the Scenic Waypoint but I am on row and sashing construction. This has been fun. The ties go together so nicely —great pattern design.

    Now I need to do another deep dive into my stash because the 3 1/2 yards of 108 inch wide black that I used for the background of the baby and throw didn’t leave me enough for the final border or binding. Can’t believe I used that much material. But I know there is more black in those tubs to finish these. (Sad but true)Such a fun way to use my batik stash!!

    This has been fun, Cheryl thanks for the incentive to use up what I have. I needed that push.
