Magnolia Mystery Quilt ++ Flower Units

Welcome to the November Instructions for the Magnolia Mystery Quilt, this month we are using some of our HST and half flying geese to make Flower Units.

You can find all of the Magnolia Mystery Quilt information and posts can be found here.  We are having such fun, please join us!

Now that the Magnolia Mystery Quilt Along has been completed, you can get the instructions as part of the instruction blog posts or you can go to Etsy for a full set of easy to print pdf instructions for sale:

The Magnolia Mystery Quilt contains instructions for both Lap and Queen sizes which are both included in this post:

Flower Units

If using pre-cuts for Fabric B:

  • For the layer cake slices/jelly roll strips/fat quarters that you cut 8 matching rectangles 2 1/2” x 4 1/2” from, use all 8 pieces in the full flower units.
  • For the layer cake slices/jelly roll strips/fat quarters that you cut 4 matching rectangles 2 1/2” x 4 1/2” from, use 2 of the pieces in a full flower unit, 1 piece in a left partial flower unit, and 1 piece in a right partial flower unit.
