Meadow Mystery Quilt - Parade FAQ

Thank you to everyone that has taken part in the Meadow Mystery Quilt!  In one week, the quilt top design will be revealed so I thought that now would be a good time to share some information about the quilt reveal parade in April.

Important Dates:

  • February 2nd - Quilt top and finishing instructions will be posted
  • April 1st - Submissions to the quilt parade due (quilt tops and completed quilts)
  • April 5th-7th - Meadow Mystery Quilt reveal parade (the parade will be split into multiple days due to the number of quilts)

How to Submit Your Quilt to the Reveal Parade and Be Eligible for Prizes:

  • E-mail a picture of the quilt top or finished quilt by Saturday April 1st.
  • Address e-mail to MMDmysteryquilts@gmail.com
  • Name your photo with your name as the file name, such as "Cheryl Brickey.jpg".
  • (optional) Include in your e-mail your location (city, state and/or country) and/or a web address for any related blog posts you would like linked to.
This e-mail address will only be used for mystery quilt pics so I can keep them organized and not miss any.  I will respond to your e-mail to confirm that I received your picture and information.

Frequency Asked Questions:

  • Do I need to finish my quilt (quilted and bound) to take part in the parade and be eligible for prizes?
No, you can enter pictures of completed quilt tops and finished quilts.

  • I posted my quilt picture to Facebook / Instagram / my blog, am I entered into the parade?
No, you must e-mail your picture to MMDmysteryquilts@gmail.com to participate in the parade.

  • I changed up the design (ex. changing up the arrangement of blocks, resizing the quilt, adding border etc), can I still take part in the parade?
Yes, all are welcome and we look forward to seeing your take on the design!

  • Do I need to keep my quilt top/finished quilt secret until the reveal parade?
No need to keep the quilt tops and finished quilts secret, share any and all pictures of the quilt tops and finished quilts (Facebook, Instagram using #MeadowMysteryQuilt, blogs, etc).

  4. And so the mystery almost comes to it's close. I have enjoyed seeing all the colours, choices and layouts on the Facebook group, and although I didn't take part this year, felt a friendship to all the quilters from previous years' mysteries. This has been another wonderful pattern, and as each part is revealed, the design shows your talent and expertise.

I am looking forward to seeing all the quilts and how different they look. It has been interesting being involved and certainly encouraged us to keep sewing. This is my first BOM and would take part again. Ilene
