Meadow Mystery Quilt - Sponsors - Other Prizes

Only 1 more week until the official start of the Meadow Mystery Quilt!  The first set of instructions (fabric requirements) will be posted on July 7th. You can find out more about the mystery quilt here.

We have now have over $750 in prizes!  The prizes will be given out randomly to those that submit a finished quilt or quilt top in the reveal parade in April 2017.

Because we have so many great sponsors, I have broken them up into a series of posts. I highlighted the five pattern design companies sponsoring the mystery quilt here and the five fabric and thread companies sponsoring the mystery quilt here.

I am highlighting five additional sponsors today...

Jan from Quilting Among the Grooves has been quilting along with me since the first mystery quilt! Last year, he gave any one of the most sought after prizes, custom longarm quilting of the mystery quilt (or an equivalent size quilt) and we are lucky enough that he has offered the prize again this year.

Mel B. was the winner last year you can see the fabulous job Jan did with the quilting on an already beautifully pieced top by Mel B. (she decided to have Jan quilt this lap quilt because she had already quilted her mystery quilt). You can read more about her quilt here and see more of Jan's work on his blog.

Winner provides the finished quilt top, backing and batting and shipping costs to Quilting Among the Groves. Quilting Among the Groves provides email or phone and photo consultation with semi-densely quilted all-over design, thread, and return shipping. (Due to shipping costs, this prize is limited to the US only).

Lara from Buzz in Bumble is donating a copy of her new book, Crafted Applique. The book is totally awesome, teaching a new way of applique that has the speed and ease of raw edge applique without any of the fraying. My of my fellow guild members I showed the book to summed it up best when she said, "This is a game changer".

Terri Ann of Mini Barn Quilts is donating 2 Mini Barn Quilt Kits, 1 Mod Podge and brush kit, a mini easel and a mini charm bundle, everything you need to make your own mini barn quilt! The kits are so much fun and easy to assemble. I made one with my son and the hardest part about the kit was picking out the fabrics!

Stephanie of Late Night Quilt and the Quilter's Planner is donating a 2017 Quilter's Planner for one lucky reader. I use my 2016 version all of the time, it is so great for keeping my professional, personal, and quilting lives organized and inspired.

Oliso, makers of the wonderful Smart Iron (the iron sits on little feet above the fabric and lowers with the simple touch of your hand), is donating one ironing board cover as a prize. This prize is for US mailing addresses only.

  7. Very fun prizes this year. I'm looking forward to getting the fabric requirements. I've been reorganizing the fabric closet and have some fun oldies, but goodies that need to get made into a quilt.
